"At times the world can seem an unfriendly and sinister place. But believe us when we say there is much more good in it than bad. All you have to do is look hard enough. And what might seem to be a series of unfortunate events, may in fact, be the first steps of a journey. "

Highway 20 Ride

Life is good.

I can't believe I have 2 weeks till I'm saying goodbye to my friends and packing for my life in Austin again. Where did the time go? It felt so slow and quick at the same time. It will be hard to say goodbye, and I will cry. But I am also eager to get back into the life I have in Austin. It's such a bustling, eccentric city. And I can't wait to learn! Learn about psychology. I can honestly say I do not mind taking classes if they all had to do with psychology.

I am sunburned. I have boasted my mouth off about how I never burn, and I did. My friends and I took a little trip down south to the Guadalupe River to go floating. My heart was as content and happy as could be. There was nowhere I needed to be, nothing I need to do except feel the sun on my skin and the cold water on my feet and hands. The ride there was great! It was about 4 hours but it went by fast. We woke up at 8, I got gas, we bought snacks and sandwiches for the river and hit the road by 9. I loved going down south of Texas, by the lakes and rivers. We were basically in San Antonio, I never realized how close Austin is to the beach, only 2 and half hours from Corpus Christi! The trees, roads and lands look different as you get near water. I loved it. We floated for a good 3 and half hours. The best part was the little rapids. It was exhilarating.

Now, I'm home and these next 2 weeks will be filled with making sure I get to see all the people I care about so much. As well as preparing for school aka textbooks, apartment details and financial aid. My daddy is making Pho today and I am so excited. Once again, I'm on top of everything. I have nothing on my to-do list except laundry...which I am doing right now. Everything feels right :)

I'm going to write more on my short story today. I feel good and inspired.
