I watched American Beauty yesterday. What an interesting movie. Really, it's got so much to analyze. I wish I could sit down with someone and just talk about all the symbols, themes and motifs the director used in that movie! SO many.
For all of you who have not watched it, watch it! It's such an interesting movie about the American dream, conformity, keeping up with appearances, and "ordinary" lives.
I don't know, maybe you're not into that stuff, but I sure am. The psychology of the American middle/upper class depicted in movies like this, it's so interesting.
But as of today, Wednesday I believe it is, I am sitting in my apartment completely content with the life I live. Why? Because, why not? There are 2 weeks left till school is out. My first class was canceled and I was able to sleep in and hang around till 3:30 when I finally got ready for my other class. The weather outside was beyond gorgeous, and I threw on a pair of Nike shorts and a Texas t shirt and wore my flip flops. My hair was in a messy ponytail with a headband, and I didn't even bother to wear any makeup. I came back and ate strawberry ice cream. And I have no homework for today. Yeah, I'm completely content singing my lungs out to my Itunes playlist.
