Today Was A Fairytale

So I've decided. I do not appreciate the cold. I mean maybe for a little while, but not for long periods of time. I've missed the sun. The past couple of days I have been outside soaking up every minute I could. But I've also decided, I do not appreciate blistering heat either. I wish all days could be like today. Where you can wear shorts or jeans, boots or flip flops, cardigan or tank top.

I enjoy the sun radiating warmth throughout my face and my body. I love driving with the windows down, the wind blowing your hair everywhere. I like the smell of spring and bbq and freshly cut grass. I love singing in the car really loud with my friends and going to get sonic slushies. I enjoy being able to run out of the house without a jacket in whatever I feel like. I absolutely love the happiness and smiles that seems to come with beautiful weather. I like seeing people at the park or people riding their bikes instead of being holed up inside. I like the white blossoms of flowers popping up on my pear tree in my backyard. It's beautiful. I enjoy talks of summer road trips and summer plans with my friends. I like road trips to the beach or just about anywhere because we're young. I love how my daddy seems happier and healthier in the spring. I love going outside and painting if I feel like it. I like having picnics or walks around the lake or flying kites (which by the way, is much harder than it seems haha).

Today is my last day at home. Back to Austin I go. I have mixed feelings. These past couple of sunny days with my friends have made me never want to go back. But then again, I like the independence and the ability to do what I want when I want. Also, Austin has a lot of fun things to do that I have missed. I also miss my apartment, and my room there. Also, I know I will be back in about 6 weeks. I can do that. And summer will be here!!!!

I love life. Everthing about it. The Good and the Bad. It's ups and it's downs. But the good is ALWAYS worth the bad.
